Jim & Chelsea Wedding #2

The Mansion at West Sayville

When your first wedding occurs during the first wave of a pandemic, what better way to celebrate your 1st Anniversary than to get married again! Jim & Chelsea’s second wedding, exactly a year to the day after their first, was an incredible occasion and a testament not only to them as a couple but to the strength of their relationships with friends and family. Add to that the backdrop of the beautiful grounds and rooms of the Mansion at West Sayville, and you have the perfect (2nd) wedding day.

Bridal prep is a little more of a party when it’s the second wedding. You may even have time for a TikTok dance or two!

Think rain will spoil a wedding day? In addition to my grandmother’s admonition that rain on a wedding day was a sign of the best luck possible, rain looks beautiful in documentary photos, so if the weather looks “dark and stormy” on your wedding day, embrace it! For Jim and Chelsea it was particularly fitting, as our change the date photoshoot on the Brooklyn Bridge in May of 2020 was also punctuated by a downpour.

The second time was definitely a charm, and although we jokingly discussed a third wedding the following year, we’d have had to make room for one more - baby Teddy was born several months later!
